About me
I am Jake L. Peras, an educator, researcher, and development practitioner working at the intersection of research, extension, cooperative leadership, and governance. My work is grounded in the belief that ideas and evidence only become meaningful when translated into action—informing policy, strengthening institutions, and empowering communities.
I engage across academic research and applied development practice, with particular focus on inclusive growth, ethical leadership, and sustainable development, especially within agrarian reform and cooperative contexts in the Philippines.
My professional work spans university-led extension, capacity building, and advisory engagement with cooperatives, public institutions, and community-based organizations. I am actively involved in strengthening governance systems, financial decision-making, and leadership capabilities among development stakeholders.
